5 website features florists love
14 July 2022
We share 5 popular website features that florists just love with a floristPro website! Our website system has been built specifically with florists in mind and developed over the years since we launched in 2007 – and since Managing Director and Founder Tim Teasel has family roots in the flower industry, he really understands what you guys want and need to run your online floristry business.
-
Same day delivery cut off time
Perhaps one of the most important features for florists is same day cut off time. This means the system can be set to a selected time for same day delivery cut off such as 2pm, and after that time the customer can no longer order for same day delivery option. Perfect for making sure you don’t get any sneaky orders pinging in at home time!
-
Delivery by postcode
As a local florist, controlling your flower delivery area is a must- have feature! Our lovely Support Team can help set up the specific postcodes and price for delivery to that postcode, so when the customer enters the delivery information, it automatically works out how much delivery is. The system can also stop people from ordering for delivery out of your delivery area.
-
Workshops bookings
Flower workshops and classes are so popular with customers, and our florists love that on their floristPro website they can have a dedicated workshop page with all the key information and booking option! Wreath making at Christmas, Mother's Day bouquet making, floral crowns in summertime - so many opportunities to offer workshops, engage with your local customers and share your expertise.
The system is great too for Workshops, as you can limit the number of spaces available to avoid over booking a workshop date, you can mark a workshop as sold out and you can even have workshop vouchers available to purchase which are perfect for gifts. Check out Wild Rose Floral Design, an award-winning florist based in Hampshire who has a lovely workshop page and can update the website with new workshop dates whenever needed!
-
Bouquet personalisation option
Personalisation is a really important factor for customers when choosing flowers, and one of our favourite features allows just that! On each product a question can be set by you, such as on a Florist Choice Bouquet you could ask “ choose your colours”, and the answers they can pick from can also be set such as “vibrant, pastels, neutrals”. This allows the customer to pick the colour palette used in the bouquet, but also gives the florist flexibility to use seasonal blooms. Win win!

Finishing touches & little gifts
Another great way to allow customers to personalise their floral gift further is offering the choice of add-ons. This may include greeting card, chocolates, helium balloons, scented candles … the possibilities are endless! There are several stages during the ordering process that customer can choose to add a finishing touch. Take a peek at Bramble Bees Florist in Dickens Heath, Solihull, who have a gorgeous range of popular gift ranges such as DCUK, East of India and Wrendale available online and in store.
-
Click and collect option
The click & collect feature was a life saver for many florists during the pandemic, allowing customers to simply pay online for flowers and pick up from the shop at a designated date and time. And now life is getting back to normal, it's still a really popular website feature which makes life as a florist so much easier!
