The Story Behind floristPro

An independent company, our roots have been in floristry for as long as we can remember. floristPro websites was launched back in 2007 by Tim Teasel, based on the idea to give local florists the tools to bloom their business online.

Our Managing Director Tim grew up surrounded by flowers - Elizabeth’s The Florists in Norwich has been in his family  for over 80 years and where Tim spent most of his childhood. As the picture on the right proves, Tim has always been great at making a bunch of flowers! After finishing school, Tim followed his passion for technology and completed a Computer Science degree at Oxford Brookes University. He went on to have a successful career in IT Project Management in London and moved down to the South Coast when he married.

Tim was still closely linked to the family floristry business, and experienced first-hand the issues they had trying to get a reliable website that suited the niche floristry demands. With the skill and knowledge to be able to build websites and the supporting system, Tim saw a great opportunity to help his family business and other local florists run their business online.

And so floristPro was born! Tim built from scratch the software, and after rigorous testing the first floristPro website launched in February 2007. It was a great success, making flower shop life much easier and feedback from customers was great - they loved being able to order online from their local florist. Since then, word has spread about our website service and floristPro has grown to become the UK's leading website provider for florists.

We have expanded over the years and now have a dedicated team of 11 (plus the office dog Bailey) based at our HQ in West Sussex. A bunch of IT specialists, design wizards and marketing gurus, all our skills combined together make the magic of floristPro happen! We work with over 700 florists across the UK and Worldwide including Ireland, Singapore, New Zealand and Dubai. We are dedicated to helping local florists have the confidence and tools to run their business online - it is always an honour when they choose us to be part of their retail journey.

The future is exciting....

As Managing Director, Tim is still at the helm of the business; working hard on developing the system further, building links with other industry companies and training his team. Tim, his wife Amanda, 2 children and family dog Bailey live happily by the sea in Sussex, but regularly return to Norfolk to visit the family and enjoy watching Norwich Football Club in action.
